You'd Have to Be Crazy To Do This, Obviously
And no, I don't mean crazy for using a neti pot. I mean crazy to create a neti pot video starring yourself. I mean, really, just look at the neti pot video image to the left. See the vague, wide-eyed panic in my eyes? And how about the semi-crazed manic smile? And what's with the weird hair? My bangs are NOT supposed to look like that. Obviously, something's very wrong with this picture.
Is it fear of using a neti pot? Nope, it's fear of making the neti pot video. While creating the video, I kept asking myself loads of non-nasal irrigation questions.
"Do I really want to do this?"
"Will this hurt me in job interviews?"
"Will this cause my second-grader to be teased in school?"
"Will my husband flee out of fright?"
"Will the neighbors shun me?"
"And, of course, what if any of my ex-boyfriends are watching?"
But in the end, I figured it was worth it, because using a neti pot should be painless, even if creating the neti pot video isn't.
Sure, it might make you feel ridiculous. I mean, just look at me. Glamorous? No siree, Bob. But I want to show you that using a neti pot is a lot easier than it sounds, even if you do look kind of silly when you're doing it.
